All firearms brought onto Fort Knox must be registered with the Directorate of Emergency Services (DES) prior to purchasing a hunting permit.  Firearms must be registered at the Chaffee Gate Visitor Center (Building 17).  For more information on Firearms Registration, see AR 190-11 and Fort Knox Regulation 190-11, or call the Weapons Registration Office at 502-624-7011 or 7019​.

TO AVOID POTENTIAL DELAYS ACCESSING THE INSTALLATION, HUNTERS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT PRIOR TO THEIR ASSIGNED HUNTING DATES.
